Valgejõe Veinivilla reveals the flavours of Estonian nature in every bottle

Our wines have been served in Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and in the best restaurants in Estonia. The Valgejõe Veinivilla is part of the Estonian Wine Trail, a route connecting Estonian wineries.

It can comfortably accommodate up to 50 people.

All the raw materials used come from Estonia, and the wines are vegan-friendly, as no animal products are used in any stage of the wine making process. Our style has become to use pure juice without adding water to preserve the most authentic flavours of nature. We will also experiment with herbs from the home garden and unusual raw materials.

Our production

Annual production is around 9,000 bottles, depending on the year of harvest, but batches can vary greatly in size – from a few hundred to a few thousand litres.

The new heraldic animal of the wine-growing area is the kingfisher, which is rare in Estonia and also breeds on the banks of Valgejõe The kingfisher is special in our nature, as are our wines in the world.

1585 under its wing marks the year when the first tavern lease was signed on the site of our winery. You can hear stories about wines, nature and the long history of the village on site at the Valgejõe Winery.

Tiina Kuuler

Tiina Kuuler, a qualified sommelier and former journalist, is the hostess of the winery, and she generously shares her experience of making wine from Estonian berries, fruit and flowers. Tiina is the author of the award-winning and several times reprinted and updated “Home Wine Guide” (2011). 2014. In 2007, the Estonian berry wine guru published “Homemade ciders and sparkling wines”. Tiina is also the soul and promoter of the Estonian Home Wine Competition. In October 2024, Tiina won the grand prize of the Estonian Sommelier Association’s Wine Writing Competition with her book “Meie veinid. From Journalist to Wine Master”.

Gregor Alaküla

Gregor is a graduate of the Junior Sommelier course at the Estonian Sommelier School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Management from TUT. His daily job is to bring wines and their consumers together. He also conducts wine trainings and thinks up new ways to spend exciting time in a winery.

Allan Alaküla

Allan is the owner of the farm, who is a historian by training and has studied the area and the long history of the Valgejõe inn. As a renowned Lahemaa guide, he conducts historical lectures and thematic tours and keeps an eye on the flavours of the wines.
